Elder Financial Abuse

We act for people, or their representatives, who have been the victims of elder financial abuse and are seeking recovery.

This facility is designed to assist people, or their helpers, friends or representatives, about whether there might be abuse occurring in relation to the use of their power of attorney.

The facility is in the form of an online question and answer interview.

It is a free and completely confidential service of Gauld & Co., Solicitors, and is for use by residents of Victoria.

Once the interview is complete and submitted we will receive the answers and contact you, or your representative, to discuss.

As the introduction to the interview states, we are looking for “red flags” in relation to the relationship between you and your attorney or attorneys.

Red flags are just indicators that something might be wrong.  The existence of one or two, or even more, red flags may mean nothing, but the existence of several may point to something being amiss and for further investigation or enquiry to be conducted.
